Today is the latest day of 2007; I will go to a concert at Tainan City Hall with my friend at night. I am excited but I am confused about what I should wear at night. My friend sent me a sweater on Christmas day and he asked me to wear it to the concert. It was a little hard to find a skirt to match it because its color was so colorful. I haven’t bought the kind of cloth before, so I spent much time with my friend to find a skirt to match it. When my friend saw me at night, he said:” You are beautiful today and the skirt and sweater match pretty well." I was happy and I told him:” Thank for sending me the present, but please don’t choose such a colorful cloth again, ok? It is hard to find a skirt to match with." He said: "Ok." And both us laugh loudly.
We had a wonderful night at the concert and counted the last twenty seconds of 2007. I wish I could be lucky and happy and everything could be fine in 2008.

I had a terrible holiday of Christmas this year. Two weeks ago I ate lunch with my co-workers and we talked about how to celebrate Christmas. We decided to exchange gifts and go singing on Christmas and make a reservation of KTV just after our discussion. It was hard for me to decide which gift I should choose because I wanted to choose a gift which was not only interesting buy also special, most important of all, I wanted to give a big surprise for my co-worker. For example, I thought I can buy a helmet which had curled hairs outside or an animal style helmet. It was interesting for me to prepare gifts and I was expected for the day very much. Finally, when I told my father that I will go singing at night at eleven o’clock my father was so angry and he told me it was too late for me to go outside and I can’t go to the party with my co-workers. I was so disappointed and sad; I told him it was just a Christmas party why couldn’t I go with them? My father didn’t want to change his mind and didn’t want to listen to me. It was a terrible a holiday for me I just stayed at home and called my co-workers to say "Merry Christmas" for them.

Last weekend I went to beach to grab crabs with my friend. I was so excited because it was my first time to grab crabs. When we arrived I ran to the beach soon and started to find crabs. My friend told me that crabs usually hide near the stones and sea shore. I picked a branch and walked slowly to sea shore and routed many stones. After about an hour, I was disappointed that I didn’t catch anything and I didn’t see any crabs. I asked my friend:" Do crabs really live near stones and sea shore? Are you sure?" He said: " We will find them soon. Just be patient. Ok?" After fifteen minutes, we finally found crabs crawling along stones. I screamed, took pictures, and recorded the process of catching. Finally we took two crabs home to show our friends. I was happy and left a wonderful memory of grabbing crabs.

Few days ago when I got home I saw a new digital camera on the dining table. I was so surprised that there was a digital camera at home. It was because my brother requested my mother to buy a digital camera for him many times but my mother didn’t agree. I went to ask mother immediately: "Do you buy a new camera?" My mother answered:"Yeah….It is because I usually go on a trip with your father recently, so I want to buy a camera to take some pictures." I said: "Ok. Buy why don’t you buy a camera for brother? He requests you so many times, right?" She didn’t answer me and just go away. I was so confused and my brother was a little angry. My mother always said: "You have broken a digital camera before. I don’t want to buy you a new one anymore." to my brother. After requesting my mother for a long time, my brother was disappointed and didn’t dream of buying a digital camera. My brother thought my mother wasn’t fair. I was glad we could have a camera because I liked to take pictures very much.

Today I have lunch with my co-workers. One of my co-workers asks us whether we want to exchange presents on Christmas or not. We all agree that and feel excited and expected t about the coming of Christmas. We decided which person we send for by lot. Besides, we plan to go singing on Christmas and all of us have to wear retro-chic style clothes that day. I feel excited about the party, but I am confused about the clothes. I think I am going to wear a short wig because it matches to retro-chic style. `Ha`, it is my first time to try to wear a wig. Christmas is coming soon. I must consider what kind of presents I should buy and how to dress up on Christmas. I hope the party will be perfect and interesting.

I take a course of Spanish this semester. I am worried that I will be flunked. Until now I don’t know about the pronounce well, not mention the grammar and changes of the verbs. The teacher pays much attention to his teaching, for instance, he teaches the alphabets with CDs and usually use some teaching films in class. By watching the films we can listen to some conversation, the pronounce, and the vocabularies. But every time I see the films I can’t understand the meaning of the films. It doesn’t have the Chinese meaning and the teacher seldom explain the meanings for the students. We have to guess the meanings by myself and we don’t know whether we are right or not. Recently, the teacher teaches about the grammar. I am getting tired about the course because I think just know the basics about Spanish. I think I should practice and study hard on Spanish. I don’t want to be flunked this semester.

I had a new part-time job in a cram school by my friend today. My friend is twenty-four years old and he has been there nearly two years. His job is about enrolling new students. He has to introduce the courses to the new students and make phone calls to students in the evening. He is busy with the job because he needs to take care of the students who he enrolled in. My job is to be his assistant. I need to call the students who he enrolled in to ask them whether they have questions about their homework or not. Sometimes I also have to be a counseling teacher. When students have troubles or feel stressed on their homework I will chat with them and give them some suggestions. It sounds like that it is an easy job but there still have a lot of things to learn. For example, I have to learn how to make a conversation with strangers because it is not easy for me and I haven’t done the kind if job before. I hope I can be more confident and open-minded by the job.

Yesterday I had a date with my friend. I have been known her since we were elementary school students. We went to the same junior high school and senior high school, but now we are in different universities. Since we are college students, we usually have a date once a month or two months. Because both of us are busy with our own studies and part-time jobs. Sometimes we chat on line or send messages to each other but not very often. Though we seldom communicate to each other, we can talk a lot when we have dates. We talk about the homework, school life, school reports, friends,…..etc. We can talk everything of our lives without any concealment. I cherish the friendship with her very much because it is lucky to have a close friend.

Today was my brother’s birthday. Last week we went to KTV to celebrate his birthday because his friends didn’t have time this week. He invited lots of friends to go singing. We drank some wine and beer, besides; we had a good time in his birthday party. One of his friends even danced in the box for everyone. I bought a cloth and prepared a cake for him, he was very glad and he told me he liked the present very much. I was lucky that my brother took care of me very much and when I was in a bad mood he could listen to me and give me some advises. I hope he can be happy all the time and I will treasure the good relationship with my brother.

I found that it was a hard task to teach the student to be well-behaved, especially the junior high school students. Today I met a student that he always talked on class and didn’t listen to my teaching. I told him to be quiet almost every week but he still doing things in his way. Last week, I told him to change his seat next week because he continued talking on class, but he didn’t change his seat today and still didn’t care about my warning. I told him to change his seat again than he scolded me in dirty words. I was not only angry but also disappointed. He should do self-examination instead of blame me. It was impolite for a student to speak dirty words. I didn’t expect he can apologize to me, but he should do apologize and be polite to teachers.

What’s the typical life about a college student? College students usually join some clubs, have lots of dates, have energy all the time, and usually go home late. When I graduated from senior high school I planned to attend the university in other places, but my father didn’t agree. He thought it was dangerous for me to live in other places. Besides, he thought I was independent. I thought I could take care of myself and learn to be dependent, most important of all; I wanted to arrange my life. My father is not a liberal person, he always defines me that I can’t go home too late, can’t go on dates often. I am not a child, I can distinguish what I can do or not. It is impossible for me to be a bad person. I am an adult. I really hope he could trust me and doesn’t restrict me so many things anymore.

How can I be motive all the time? Recently, I feel that I don’t have much motivation about my life. I am late for school often. Besides, sometimes I don’t want to go to school. Does anyone feel the same with me? I am tired of doing the same things almost every day. I know that I should be active and studious to my life and studies but I can’t always do things in this way. Having the good attitude of life is very important for everyone. I always encourage and tell myself ``I can do it. Just face it. `` I think I should find a good way to let me feel relaxed or take a short trip to make me having the different attitude of life.

Today I told my boss that I decided to quit my part-time job. It is because I will go to the cram school to prepare for the GEPT exam next month. I will go to the cram school twice a week so I do not have much time to work. My boss was very surprised to hear that I am going to quit my job because I have been her assistant over one year. I know her habits and attitudes to work. She doesn’t have to spent much time to communicate with me about the work; she just has to tell me my work one time than I can understand what she wants me to do. I learned much from the job, for example, I get more patient than before because there are a lot of works I have to finish in a short time. I can’t be impatient or I can’t do well on my work. I am a little sad that I am going to leave my co-workers and my boss. I will keep communication with them and do well on my studies.

Some people think that it is necessary for a student to take a amatory credit in university. I think it is not really true. There are lots of things have to finish in university. You have to take care of the studies, make friends, join the clubs, do some reports…etc. I think if people want to fall in love with another person, you should prepare yourself well first. You have to take care of yourself well, deal with all the chores well, than you may have time to make a boyfriend or girlfriend. If you can distinguish what you have done and what you can do or not, than you can love and take another person. How can you make a boyfriend or girlfriend if you don’t prepare yourself well? Before you fall in love with another person you should be confident of yourself and be mature to see all the things around you. Most important of all, people should pay responsibility to love your lover.

After the mid-term exam I think I should pay more attention and study harder on my studies. Take the linguistics for example; I didn’t do well on the subject and might fail it in the end of the semester. It is very complex and has to memorize lots of proper noun, for example, morphemes, bound and free morphemes, compound noun, inflectional suffix…, etc. We have to distinguish those proper nouns and write down the meanings of each proper noun. Beside, we should have the ability to recognize which is the inflectional suffix or prefix. I don’t why we should learn it. If we want to be an English teacher we should be good at the subject? Is the linguistics useful for everyone as speaking, writing, and listening? Although the subject will take me a lot of time to prepare, I still have to pass it. It is because that it is my duty to pass all the subjects no matter how I like it or not.

I am interested in playing volleyball since I was a senior high school student. It was my first time to play and learn how to play volleyball when I was in the first grade of senior high. My school held a volleyball game and asked every class to join it. I was not good at playing volleyball and it was a hard task for me to play it well in the short time. I practiced playing volleyball with my teammates and PE teacher almost five days a week. All of my teammates felt stressed and was nervous about the game because our competitors were two years older than us. My PE teacher continued encouraging us and paid much patience with us. Finally we lost the game, but we didn’t give up playing volleyball. It not only become my interest but also become my favorite activity in my free time.

Recently, I heard some information by my cousin about going abroad to have a part-time job during the summer vacation. It is held by school and it can be attended only by students. My cousin will attend the activity from July to September next year. She tells me everyone should take at least ten thousand dollars and will live in homestay. She suggests me to attend the activity in the future. She says it can not only improve the ability of English but also learn how to take care of herself. It is her first time to go abroad; she is very nervous and excited about that. Besides, she can’t wait to do it. I hope I can attend the activity next year. I can make money and most important of all, I can learn lots of experiences in the foreign country and learn to deal with the chores by myself.

I still remembered I attended a wedding in Taipei last year. The couple fell in love with each other for almost eight years. The couple arranged the wedding by themselves, they rented a small restaurant and arranged the food, decorations, bridal veils…etc, and they didn’t let their parents to worry about the wedding. Their parents told us that they were told to attend the wedding and decided the attendant. We could see that their parents were very proud of them. Before the wedding started, the couple showed us a video which recorded their stories and the process that the bridegroom asked the bride to marry him. All the attendants there were so touched by the video. I believed they could be happy and blest in the future because they had a beautiful love.

It is popular for everyone to have a cell hone. By having a cell phone, we can be convenient to communicate with friends and send messages all the time. When I have something to talk to my friends I usually use my cell phone instead of using telephone. Is it the trend to people to have a cell phone? I think t is not. Just take me for example, now I get accustomed to use cell phone, even if my cell phone doesn’t ring, I still take it very often. I think it is not a good habit to get used to have a cell phone and rely on it. I remembered when I didn’t have a cell phone, I called my friends because of some emergency but now I call my friends just because I want to talk. It is really a bad habit, it is not only waste much money but also waste much time. Maybe I should change my attitude to have a cell phone.

Can people be alone all the time? Since I was a child, there were a lot of families and friends around me. I can’t image that I may be alone one day. When I feel sad, I need to talk to my friends and need someone to give a hand. Besides, when I am happy, I want to share my happiness to my families and friends. I want my families and friends could feel my joy and feel glad, too. For instance, when my parents take a trip, I will miss them so much and want to know whether they are fine or not. Perhaps it is not necessary to have a boyfriend or girlfriend, but it is very important to me to keep a good relationship with my families and friends. Sometimes it is good to be alone but I think people can’t be alone during the lifetime. After all, I think people need someone to stay with when we are old.

Cingjing Farm

Last weekend I took a trip to Cingjing Farm with my brother and friends. It took us about seven hours to get there. Cingjing Farm is an elevation of about one thousand and seven hundred forty meters. I could see the terraces and maple leaves during the way to the farm. When we got there, it was almost four o’clock in the afternoon. All of us thought that it was hot there, so we didn’t bring any jackets. It was terrible that the temperature changed a lot; it was so cold at night, so after dinner we changed our plan to stay in the hotel.

The second day, we went to see the funny cattle show. The cattle show some interesting skills to us, for example, they dived into water and used their tail to blast the balloons. Later, we went to see the sheep, we were so excited for that and I expected to see sheep very much. The sheep were so cute and we took a lot of pictures with sheep. By the way, it was so interesting that when my brother got close to the sheep to take pictures the sheep ran away soon. My brother was so depressed and everyone laughed at him. We had a good time during the two days, and left a deep impression in our mind. I expect our next trip very much.

My father is a businessman. He has the bad temper, especially at work. For example, if his worker doesn’t deal with the work well and be forgetful very often, he will get angry. I remembered when I was a child, a customer asked me to tell my father that he had to use his product in the afternoon, I promised him without getting my father’s allowance. After talking to the customer, I called my father, he was very angry when he heard that because he had already arranged his schedule. He told me that I should ask him before making a promise to the customer. I couldn’t forget the day until now, I will keep the lesson in mind and learn to be more careful, but I still want him to be more patient.

Have you ever felt stressed about your job or studies? Do you quit or insist on your trouble when you feel stressed and frustrated? Sometimes I feel stressed about my studied and I may think whether I should quit or not. Besides, I may ask myself" Is it necessary to get a diplomat?" After having a part-time job for one year, I find that it is better to be a student than a worker. Being a worker, you should follow a lot of rules; moreover, you should learn how to look around the surrounding. However, being a student, what you have to do is to be responsible for yourself. Doing the right thing at the right time. Furthermore, doing your own duty well. Although I feel stressed about my studies, I will do my best in my studies and enjoy my school life.

Do you think that you are mature enough? I ask myself whether I am mature or not and do self-examination very often. Take making a boyfriend for example, can you control your temper to be reasonable when you are quarrelling with your boyfriend?It is true to show your feeling and tale about the concepts, but it is important to be wise during the communication. When I have a quarrel with by boyfriend, I would tell myself that I should calm down and don’t be impetuous. Because when you are in a bad temper, you may make the wrong decision and the condition will be bad. Having a good relation relies on how much time you spend and how do you build the relationship. Treat and feel everything around you from your heart and everything will be fine.

How to read ahead and paraphrase the paragraph well is the mainly goal of the English interpretation class in this semester. The teacher asked us to practice reading a short paragraph for about five minutes every day. First of all, reading a paragraph fluently is the basic part of the class. After that we have to learn to read ahead and paraphrase the paragraph or an article.

Reading ahead is very useful for the speakers to give a speech. For example, after I practice it several times, I found that I could read a paragraph more fluently than before because I could see the front words before I read them. Besides, we have to practice reading in front of the class when we take the course. It is very exciting and challenging for me. But I think I could do it well and by practicing it every day I could improve my ability well.

This semester I take a course about English teaching of children. The teacher made an arrangement for us to visit the kindergarten in Nan-tai. The children there are very cute, innocent and energetic. The bottom class has two children who are smaller than the others. The two children take their midday naps much more time than the others so when they wake up the other children are already finish the snack.

After visiting the kindergarten, I am very thankful of my parents. They spent much money and much time and much energy to raise us. Raising a child is hard and has to pay much attention to do that. We should take care of our parents well in the future and most important of all, we should keep the thankful attitude in mind.

Confusion

Confusion
Why should we have to go to school? Why should we have to get the diploma? Can’t we get a good job without the diploma? Compare to other universities, our university is stricter than the others. For instance, the teachers in Nan-tai University call the rolls almost every class; the credit hours we have to get are more than the other universities, too. Sometimes I think that we may be more disciplinal and pay more attention to our studies, but sometimes I feel too tried to give up my study. I feel helpless about the future and I am not sure I can get the better life and job if I reach the degree. Should I keep going? The future really confused me so much.

Recently, the weather is getting hotter and hotter than before. In my memory, the weather will change into cold in October, now it usually gets cold in about November. People should pay much attention about the greenhouse effect. People waste too much recourse and pollute the environment every second. If people want to live with the beautiful environment and give our children the better surrounding, everyone should start to think more serious of our earth.

Busy

From the term begins to now, I am busy and tired almost every day. There are about thirty classes in one week. At first, I think that I can get fewer classes than last semester, but I am getting busy and tried than before. Take the oral translation course for example, we have to practice reading a short paragraph every day. Besides, we have to record what difficulty we met and how to solve the difficulties. Moreover, we have to discuss all the problems which we met. I can predict that there are more and more homework and reports we have to finish. I hope I could do all the things well.

Moon Festival

Moon Festival
Moon festival is the traditional festival in Taiwan. I had BBQ with my family on Monday. My aunt is a great cook. She prepared everything by herself and barbecued them for everyone. Besides, when we tasted them we should give her the unanimous applause at once or she will get angry and doesn’t want to cook everything for us. She was so funny, right? I talked a lot and took a lot of pictures with my family, we had a good time with everyone. We will barbecue every year and all of my family will be in the good relationship.

It is the fourth day after summer vacation. Most course in this semester are more difficult than before. Also, they are more challenging for me. For instance, compare to the past, advanced listening course and the oral interpretation course are more difficult. We have to read a paragraph as a speaker in front of the class and after two weeks, we have to paraphrase an article in about one minute. I will pay more attention in class and I wish myself that I could improve my ability well in the semester.

In this semester, I have a new lesson about children teaching. Yesterday, the teacher told us that we have to pay more patience of children and have to design some new and interesting courses for them. Most important of all, if you want to be a teacher, you should be passionate to children. Besides, I like to get along with children because they are not only cute but also innocent. I am interested in teaching and I hope that I could do well on the course and sharpen my ability in English teaching.

My birthday

Few days ago was my twentieth-one birthday. I was surprised and touched on that day because my co-corker invited me to have a coffee after work. On the way, she suddenly parked the car and showed a big cake to me. I was shocked but I was very happy. I couldn’t believe that she remembered my birthday. She sang the song and sent a key ring for me which she bought in Australia. I had a wonderful birthday this year and I think we will be good friends forever.

My part-time job

My part-time job
I have been an assistant in a cram school for almost one year. My boss is Rita. She is not only wise but also friendly. Besides, she treats me very well. For example, when she goes to buy some drinks, she will buy one for mw all the time. Sometimes I feel stressed of my job because she usually gives me a lot of work to do. She has confidence in me because she considers that I am a responsible person. Though the job is not easy at all, I will do my best on my work and do not let my boss feel disappointed of me.
